A student from our university won the Idea Award (runner-up) at the 5th Real Funding in Yamanashi "What will you do here?"

 

On Saturday, November 22, 2025, the "New Business Festival Yamanashi 2025," sponsored by the Yamanashi Prefecture New Business Council, a general incorporated association, was held at the Yamanashi Prefectural Startup Support Center.

 

In the second part of the event, "The 5th Real Funding in Yamanashi: What will you do here?", university and high school students from within and outside the prefecture presented ideas to revitalize Yamanashi. Students and a club from Yamanashi Eiwa College who are taking courses on solving local issues participated.

 

All 17 groups that took to the stage for presentations were individuals or groups that had passed the first round of judging, and three of them were from Yamanashi Eiwa College.

 

As a result of the judging, the project "From Play to Protection: Airsoft x Deer Measures" won the Idea Award (runner-up). This project aims to simultaneously solve two issues, "wildlife damage" and "the lack of hunters," by utilizing airsoft as a local activity and involving young people.

Specifically, the project aims to utilize unused land around railway tracks and in forests as a field for survival games, and to prevent deer from entering railway tracks (railway accidents) and damaging agriculture and forestry by spraying special BB bullets (made from biodegradable resin) containing repellent ingredients. It also aims to increase interest among young people in obtaining hunting licenses by providing them with a simulated experience of handling guns in the game.

 

Other groups from our university also gave poster presentations, sharing their proposals with other presenters and participating companies and deepening exchanges.
