Research and Education

The Department Department of Human Sciences and Cultural Studies Faculty of Human Sciences and Cultural Studies, Yamanashi Eiwa University aims to build a comprehensive faculty that can cultivate the ability to face head-on the various problems that arise in a society that is becoming increasingly complex, diverse, and turbulent on a global scale.

In the new "human culture studies" of the 21st century, it is important to organically learn: 1) to attempt religious understanding and realistic and psychological understanding of human beings as the foundation for a deep understanding of human beings, 2) to acquire the verbal and non-verbal communication skills that are essential for the formation and development of a human culture based on the exploration of the basis of human existence and mutual understanding, and 3) to not only accept culture unilaterally, but also for each individual to express creative activities as a subjective individual.

It is also necessary to develop human resources who have rich humanity, the creativity to make judgments and act with correct awareness and a broad perspective, and the communication skills required in an information-based, globalized society.

It is also essential to nurture human resources who can reexamine the issues facing modern society, which is becoming increasingly complex and diverse, from the perspective of human culture and take on the role of leaders in local communities.

The education and research of this department is based on a Christian view of humanity, and aims to contribute to the training of talented people who can generate creative partnerships with the real world, with the aim of enriching and developing human culture in the new century.
