On Thursday, February 26, 2026, Yamanashi Eiwa University (located in Kofu City, Yamanashi Prefecture; President: Tsukamoto Toshiya) and Minobusan University (located in Minobu Town, Minamikoma District, Yamanashi Prefecture; President: Mochizuki Kaiei) will conclude a credit transfer agreement with the aim of enriching the educational curriculum and fostering a broader perspective in students.
Yamanashi Eiwa Yamanashi Eiwa University is based on Christian principles, while Minobusan University is based on the Buddhist principles of the Nichiren sect. While the two universities have different religious backgrounds, they have continued to follow their own paths as educational institutions rooted in the local community. In today's social climate, where multicultural coexistence and understanding of diversity are required, we believe it is extremely important to provide a place where students with different faiths and philosophies can respect each other's ideals and learn from each other, which is why we have concluded this agreement.
Based on this agreement, the two universities will develop a credit transfer program, allowing students who wish to do so to take courses at either university as special audit students. The two universities will mutually offer courses in the humanities and social sciences that approach subjects from Christian and Buddhist perspectives, helping to increase students' motivation to learn and help them acquire a multifaceted perspective.
The signing ceremony for the credit transfer agreement will be held as follows:
