Lecturer Nami Oi has received the "Yoshiharu Kataho Award (Honorary Chairman's Award)" from the Japan Society for Information and Culture.

 

At the 33rd National Conference of the Japan Society for Information and Culture Studies, held on November 29, 2025 (Saturday), Lecturer Nami Oi received the "Yoshiharu Kataho Award," equivalent to the Honorary President's Award, from the Japan Society for Information and Culture Studies for her contributions to the advancement of information and culture studies through "interdisciplinary information and culture research that approaches issues related to culture, arts, and ethics from the perspective of information science based on life."

 

The Japan Society for Information and Culture was established in 1993 with the aim of creating a new interdisciplinary academic system in the complex field of information and culture, and to improve and develop academic culture. It regularly publishes academic journals and holds conferences and research meetings throughout Japan and in its local branches.

 

Regarding this award, Lecturer Ooi commented, "I will use this award as encouragement to dedicate myself even more sincerely to my research and educational activities."
