Japanese writing style and character language

There are two main writing styles in Japanese: the "desu/masu" style and the "da/dearu" style, which I'm sure you've all heard of.

Each writing style is used in different situations and evokes different images.

Furthermore, Japanese also has something called "character language," which is a form of language associated with specific characters.

In this mock lesson, we will introduce how different writing styles and role-playing language are associated with various situations and character types through role-playing and quizzes.

Associate Professor Sayaka Mitsui, who specializes in Japanese language education, will give a mock lecture.
