A disaster preparedness drill was conducted on Wednesday, September 30th, with students and faculty members participating.
This drill was conducted under the assumption that a magnitude 6 earthquake occurred during class, and a secondary disaster occurred on campus: a fire.
The training included confirmation of evacuation methods and evacuation guidance broadcasting procedures in the event of an earthquake or fire, and served as an opportunity to raise disaster prevention awareness within the university.
Furthermore, this academic year, our university introduced a safety confirmation system using a dedicated app, and we also conducted training sessions in which students actually reported their safety status through the system.
Our university will continue to conduct drills in a planned manner in preparation for any possible disasters.
