Research content and themes of interestBy examining the relationship between a work and the society of the time it was created, and by conducting detailed analysis of the work, I consider what composers and writers are trying to convey and what we can learn from the work. My main research subjects in musicology are Europe and the United States from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, and in children's literature, contemporary Japan and English- and German-speaking countries from the late 19th century onwards. My research also focuses on the perception of art in children's literature.

What makes the research interesting?◆ Experience the fun of culture while exploring a variety of genres ◆
By "analysing works of art and literature in detail" and "considering the connection to the era and society in which the work was created," I am able to experience the interest of each work and the greatness of the artists and writers. It is often said that culture is not a necessary thing, but through such considerations, I hope to be able to convey the meaning of culture's existence in the world.
The most fun part is connecting multiple works and genres and finding unexpected commonalities.
