Chapel Hour

Chapel hours are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Greenbank hall.

 

Chapel hour is a time that has been carefully observed since the school was founded.

Read the Bible, sing praises, pray, and listen to the message (encouragement). Take some time to quietly reflect on yourself and calm your mind as you participate.

Anyone is welcome to participate.

Pipe Organ

In 2002, the Yamanashi Eiwa Academy Supporters Association donated a pipe organ to Yamanashi Eiwa University to allow students to experience the wonder of Christian music.

Our university's Greenbank hall (Room 110) houses a positive organ (a portable, small pipe organ) manufactured in 1998 by Marc Garnier of France. The black keys, in particular, are made from oak wood (discolored to a black, ebony-like color) excavated from a 10,000-year-old glacier, a precious material that is no longer available or manufactured. While it looks like a small wooden box, it contains approximately 200 pipes. A great deal of time has been spent on adjustments and tuning, resulting in a very delicate organ that has been carefully assembled. Please experience its warm yet transparent sound during chapel hours.
