Chapel Hour

Chapel hours are held every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at Greenbank hall.

Chapel hour is a time that has been carefully observed since the school was founded.

Anyone is welcome to participate.

Pipe Organ

In 2002, the Yamanashi Eiwa Academy Supporters Association donated a pipe organ to Yamanashi Eiwa University to allow students to experience the wonder of Christian music.

Our university Greenbank hall (room 110) is equipped with a Positif organ (a small, portable pipe organ) made by the French company Marc Garnier (built in 1998). The black keys in particular are made of oak wood (which has turned black like ebony) excavated from a glacier 10,000 years ago, a precious material that is no longer available or manufacturable today. Although it looks like a small wooden box, it contains about 200 pipes. It is a very delicate organ that has been carefully assembled, with many hours spent on adjustments and tuning. Please come and experience the warm, yet transparent sound during chapel hour.
