The Chapel Center holds "Christian Education Week" and "Half-Day Retreats" to deepen understanding of Christianity from a broad perspective.

Anyone can participate.

Christian Education Week

This will be a week in which we will have a longer than usual chapel hour and learn about Christianity in a broad sense.
Please note that class times will change.


Christian Education Week Timetable
1st period: 9:00-10:25 (Ends 10 minutes earlier than usual)
Chapel Hour 10:30-11:10 (University Chapel)
2nd period: 11:15-12:40 (10 minutes later than usual)

 

 

 

Half-day retreat

 

Date and Time

Wednesday, October 14, 2026, 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Worship service: 10:00-10:20

Lecture 10:20-12:30

Venue: Greenbank hall

 

The half-day retreat is open to all students, faculty and staff, regardless of year.

 

 

 

Christmas tree lighting festival

 

Date and Time

Tuesday, November 24, 2026, 5:00 PM onwards (Registration starts at 4:30 PM)

    • Part 1: Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony 5:00pm-5:30pm
    • Part 2: Fun Time 5:40pm - 6:30pm

 

 

Contents

This is a traditional event at our university that marks the beginning of Advent, the season in which we await the birth of Jesus Christ.

The first part will involve beautifully lighting up the campus Christmas tree.

The second part will be planned and run by the volunteer group The Peace Fellows, and will include fun activities such as quizzes and singing Christmas songs.

A worship service celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ.

We make offerings during worship services, remembering and giving to organizations and facilities that need help.

 

 

candlelight service

Wednesday, December 16, 2026, approximately 5:15 PM to 6:00 PM

Contents

With the theme of "Worship created by everyone!", the service will feature music and Bible readings by volunteers, including student groups such as the Green Chapel Choir, Ringer Ringer (handbell circle), and brass band.
Let us gaze upon the light of the candles and offer a quiet evening prayer.

 

 

Graduation Service

This is the last service we will hold together with the graduates. We will offer worship and pray that the Lord will bless the future steps of each and every one of you who are graduating.
